  Job Description
SharePoint Administrator Key Activities and Responsibilities

Adoption of hotfixes, service packs and other scheduled maintenance activities
Guidance regarding resilience, failover, back-up and restore options for SharePoint
Administration of user access and security groups for the SharePoint platform and remote access to the SharePoint platform via UAG
Creation and enhancement of new sites using standard out of the box SharePoint functionality
Creation and enhancement of workflows using SharePoint designer
Deployment of new functionality and enhancements
Resolution of SharePoint specific issues to SLA's
Maintenance of system documentation and governance plans including provision of assistance and guidance to end-users
Provision of knowledge and best practice surrounding the use and integration of SharePoint and MS Office 2010
Assist with user adoption and business requirements gathering
SharePoint Administrator Person Skills / Experience Required

The SharePoint Administrator will need to be able to communicate with customers at all levels is required along with patience, understanding and the ability to proactively take responsibility for customer's problems.
Experience of working to SLA in an ITIL aligned organisation
Excellent interpersonal/customer relationship experience
Have a keen sense of urgency and take responsibility of incidents
To be self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
Have a flexible approach and can work as a team player
Demonstrate competence in oral and written communication
Able to deal with customers/suppliers/peers at all levels in a professional manner
