  Job Description

Fault Management
Identification, investigation and resolution of faults, including supplier liaison
Support/Knowledge pool for team peers when required
Attend Tech Bridges with other parties to resolve faults.
Engage 3rd party engineers for break/fix – (i.e. Telindus, HPTS, HP CDS hands and eyes, Cisco, BT, Level 3 etc)
Configuration Management
Ensure device configuration meets SNMC criteria.
Continual Service improvement
Device Configuration Backup. – CA Spectrum/manual
Sit on Client Change Boards. Change Approvers – where required
Analyse current Cisco Security Advisories and report recommendations to clients.
Add devices to Network Monitoring tools – CA Spectrum
Add devices to Reporting tools – CA E-Health
Accept into support new clients and devices for existing clients, following Account specific turnover to production processes.
Performance Management
Provide reporting for Uptime stats, Utilisation etc
Trend analysis
Capacity management
Security Management
Administer TACACS
OOH 3rd line Support and Fault resolution
Provide support for Sev1/2 faults (24 x 7 shift + oncall resource)
AD HOC tasks as required by client.
Traffic monitoring (faults only) using tools available
Project resource on occasion
SME for Client led conference calls.
SPOC for client queries.
Carry out planned changes OOH.
Project Plan reviews.
Client Configuration reviews
Deliver EWO where required
Lifecycle Management
Maintaining clients Network Lifecycle Management to ensure compliance with HP's LCM policy
Essential experience and skillset required:

Cisco certification – minimum of CCNA, although CCNP is preferred
Minimum of 5 years network management experience
Experience in following equipment, protocol and tools
Cisco Router
Cisco Switch
Layer 2 Switching
Layer 3 Switching
Static routing
Access Lists
CSM / Load Balancers
CA Spectrum
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Preferred skills:

He/she must also have the attributes of High Performance team.
