Description

Lead database administration for a large-scale enterprise application on IBM z/OS mainframes.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and optimize IDMS databases in a high-availability z/OS environment.
• Configure, tune, and improve database performance by analyzing system metrics.
• Design and maintain database operational procedures, standards, and security protocols.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support all environment lifecycles.
• Provide technical leadership on architecture, deployment, and complex issue resolution.

Required Skills

• 15+ years administering IDMS databases in IBM z/OS mainframe environments.
• 10+ years with IDMS SQL Option, including relational implementation and SQL support.
• Extensive experience implementing and managing IDMS database security.
• Strong programming skills in COBOL and ADS/O for native and SQL-based IDMS.
• Experience with IBM High Level Assembler (HLASM) on z/OS.
• Proficiency using IDMS Perfmon for monitoring and performance reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• RACF security administration and application change management experience.
• Experience in healthcare, Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS), or regulated industries.
